Location: The International Dolls’ Museum is located in the Sector 23 of the beautiful Chandigarh City at the foothills of Shivalik. An amazing collection for both the children and the adults of the dolls from all parts of India and across various other countries is definitely a place whose memory the visitors would cherish for their entire life.

Created: The wonderful museum of Dolls was started in 1985 at the Bal Bhavan and the Rotary Club of Chandigarh had helped a lot in making this dream come true to gift something different full of fun and education to the Children all around the world. This museum is managed by the authorities of the Chandigarh City and is located in the Sector 23 of the city.

About the place: This place has the most impressive and spectacular collection from all parts of India and helps the visitors getting acquainted with the people of India along with their lifestyle, dresses, famous dances etc. The visitors get spell bound by looking at the Kathakali, Kuchipudi and Bharatnatyam dance forms shown by the various dolls in this Dolls’ Museum. The children get into a different world when they get to see all the famous characters of their story books like Snow White, Cinderella, Aladdin and Ali Baba which all are beautifully and artistically designed by the local artists. A ceramic model of a German Railway Station is another attraction of the International Dolls’ Museum and leaves the visitors surprised with simulation of real passengers, railway tracks and life-size pictures. This museum is opened for all through out the year except on the public holiday.

How to reach:

By Road: One can get pleasure from the beautiful road journey to Chandigarh using the national highways. One of them is No.21 joining Kinnaur and Ambala and the other one is No.22 joining Leh and Chandigarh.

By Train: Shatabdi Express and Himalayan Queen are the two daily trains that link Chandigarh with the Indian Capital.

By Air: The airport that is situated about 12 kilometers from the center of the city links Chandigarh with important places like Delhi, Amritsar and Leh.
