Loading...Location: The famous shrine of Mansa Devi Temple in Chandigarh is located about 8 kilometers away from the city. This place is located at Panchkula. According to the Hindu mythology, the head of Devi Sati fell here. There are two temples and the one which is near the parking lot is considered to be the main temple of Mansa Devi Temple.

Created: This Mansa Devi Temple was established in the year 1815 by the ruler of Mani Majra Gopal Singh. The newer temple was set up by the Maharaja of Patiala. This temple symbolizes the worshippers of “Shakti” and people from all over the country come here to pay their homage to this goddess.

There is a garden of sacred trees located around this Mansa Devi Temple. This place has been the witness of cultural and religious changes in the northern India for about 200 years. During the Navarati celebration, this place is visited by millions of people from around the world who come here to worship this goddess of “Shakti”, Mansa Devi. The Patiala Temple is about 200 meters away from the Mansa Devi Temple. Various fairs are held in the surrounding areas of this place during Navratri.
How to reach:
By Road: The national highways can ensure comfortable journey and eye-catching scenarios when one takes the road to reach Chandigarh city. The national high way no. 21 (Kinnaur-Ambala) and the no.22 (Leh-Chandigarh) has the various types of vehicles like private cars, buses etc. running on it. The buses ply between Chandigarh and the surrounding cities.
By Train: Chandigarh is well connected by the rail route to the capital of India, Delhi and people could enjoy the journey from Delhi to Chandigarh with two daily trains running; the Shtatabdi Express and the Himalayan Queen.
By Air: Chandigarh is well connected by the air route as the airport in about 12 kms away from the center of the city and has connection with the places like Amritsar, Delhi, and Leh etc.
